OUR PURPOSE

This corporation is a nonprofit public benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person.  It is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for charitable purposes.  The specific purposes for which this corporation is formed are exclusively charitable.

Specifically, to inspire and empower young people to achieve their potential, to promote racial equality and social justice, to provide mentorship, education, and coaching for children and young adults (5-25yrs) to develop life and leadership skills by way of a supportive nurturing environment.  

413 Elite Foundation Reads Frederick Douglass

Participants: Youth and adults of the BIPOC community, ages 12+

Overview:

The 413 Elite Foundation will host it’s 2nd Annual “The 413 Elite Foundation Reads Frederick Douglass”, a virtual community literacy event centered on the historic speech “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?” by Frederick Douglass. This program is designed to uplift, educate, and empower youth and adults within the BIPOC community by engaging them in a culturally meaningful reading experience that deepens historical understanding and strengthens literacy.

From the safety and comfort of their homes, participants ages 12 and up will join a Zoom session to listen to a recording of the Foundation’s administrative team who represents the BIPOC community. This shared experience creates a bridge between past and present, allowing young people to hear the words of a leader whose voice shaped the fight for freedom, justice, and human dignity.
